GlowUpNow Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Jatho Media (“GlowUpNow,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, protects, retains and deletes personal information when you use GlowUpNow.ca, the GlowUpNow iOS or Android apps, and related services. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA and Alberta privacy law where applicable.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, password, account role and verification status.
• Provider information: business details, contact information, address or service area, services, pricing, availability, photos, videos and profile content.
• Marketplace activity: searches, requests, bookings, conversations, favourites, notification preferences and interactions with listings or Glow Clips.
• AI feature inputs: photos, inspiration images, answers, prompts and preferences that you choose to submit to Glowy features.
• Location: city and, only with device permission, approximate or precise location used for nearby results, distance sorting or directions.
• Device and notification information: device identifier, platform, app version, push token, locale, time zone and notification choices.
• Usage and technical data: pages or screens viewed, searches, feature interactions, referral information, IP address, browser or device type, diagnostics and security logs.
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed by payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal. GlowUpNow does not store complete payment-card details.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide accounts, discovery, requests, bookings, messaging, notifications and provider tools.
• Return nearby results and public location information while respecting provider location-visibility choices.
• Process Glowy styling guidance, inspiration analysis and try-on or preview requests.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure and improve the platform.
• Send transactional updates and, only where permitted, marketing communications.
• Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms and meet legal obligations.

4. AI Photos and Inputs

GlowUpNow asks for your permission before an app photo is submitted for AI processing. The selected image, relevant answers and technical request data may be processed by GlowUpNow and contracted AI or cloud service providers solely to produce, secure and operate the feature you requested. Do not upload an image unless you have the right and consent to use it. Glowy outputs are styling guidance, not medical advice or a beauty rating.

5. Device Permissions

Camera, photo-library, location and notification access are optional and requested when needed. You can decline or later change permissions in your device settings, although the related feature may then be unavailable.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with:

• customers and GlowPros as needed for a request, booking or conversation;
• the public when a GlowPro publishes a listing, Glow Clip or other public content;
• hosting, storage, push-notification, analytics, payment, communication and AI service providers acting for us;
• professional advisers, authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety and platform integrity;
• a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition or sale, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

7. Cookies and Analytics

The website uses cookies and similar technologies. The website and apps may record privacy-conscious usage events such as listing views, searches, Glow Clip playback and feature handoffs so we can understand performance and improve the experience. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily control mobile-app storage.

8. Data Retention

Account and marketplace data is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. AI source images are retained only as needed to complete and secure the requested feature and are scheduled for deletion under the feature’s operational retention process. Saved results or passports may remain until their stated expiry, removal or account deletion. Some transaction, security, dispute and legal records may be retained longer when required.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information and may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing. You can control app permissions in device settings, manage push-notification categories in the app, and unsubscribe from marketing messages.

10. Account Deletion

Signed-in app users can open Account and select Delete account. Website users can use the deletion option in their profile. Instructions and an alternative request method are available on our Account Deletion page. Deletion removes account access and associated account-owned data, subject to limited legal, security and backup retention.

11. Security and International Processing

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information. No online service is completely secure. Service providers may process information outside your province or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

12. Children’s Privacy

GlowUpNow accounts are intended for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information without appropriate authorization.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as services or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain posted here. We will provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
